Inventor of the BK Spray Pal
The Kahra family has been transforming homes for over 60 years starting with Bob's grandfather back in the early 60s. As a master baker in war torn Germany, Kurt migrated here with his family in the early 60s, started the Kahra name in the painting world and we have been painting and remodeling homes and businesses since.
As the years went on, I have adapted and evolved along with the painting industry and have watched a few of my ideas be presented by others with the same thoughts, only to miss out on being the one who patented a tool to solve a problem. Then the light bulb came on regarding another reoccurring problem and I said to myself... not again.
After 40+ years of painting, each time I sprayed and sucked up air before realizing I was almost out of material, my tipping object of choice was usually a 2-inch roll of tape, caulking tube or even a pine cone. I realized there is no tool available but is absolutely needed to solve this problem and I will be the one who makes it.
After two failed attempts at the Shark Tank show, I gained the trust of family and friends who helped finance the design and development of the BK Spray Pal and after 3 years and a dozen prototypes we finally got it perfect! Then came the accidental brilliance of using it on the roof to keep buckets more level! We then upgraded and designed a mold for three rubber pads that fit snuggly underneath for added grip and after using it in the field for over a year, it is still strong and used EVERY time I spray, I hope you will use it too!
